Iran records 45 percent rise in shipment to Caspian Sea littoral states in 5 months YoY


(MENAFN) The worth of Iran’s shipment to the Caspian Sea littoral states surged 45 percent in the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), in comparison with the same time span in the last year, a representative with Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) declared.

Rahmatollah Khormali, the head-general of the TPO's office of Central Asia, Caucasus, and Russia, recorded Iran’s worth of five-month shipment to the stated nations at USD814 million.

In line with the official, between the stated nations, Azerbaijan accounted for the biggest expansion of import from Iran (84 percent), second comes Turkmenistan (40 percent), and in third place Russia (31 percent).

As earlier declared by the chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the worth of Iran’s non-oil shipments amounted to USD20.924 billion in the opening five months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year, rising 21 percent in comparison with the last year’s same time span.
