Iran: Kordestan province ships USD337M value of goods in first 5 months


(MENAFN) Goods worth USD337 million were shipped from Kordestan district, in the west of Iran, throughout the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year (March 21-August 22), a provincial official declared.

Taha Samiei, the deputy chief of the province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Department, stated that commodities valued at USD14 million were shipped in to the province in the stated period as well.

The chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) has declared that the worth Iran’s non-oil shipments amounted to USD20.924 billion in the opening five months of the present Iranian calendar year, jumping 21 percent in comparison with the past year’s same span of time.

Based on Alireza Moghadasi, Iran shipped 44 million tons of non-oil goods in the five-month period which was 3.5 percent lower than the number for the last year’s same time span.

In the meantime, an amount of 14 million tons of commodities worth USD21.665 billion were shipped into the nation, showing a 19 percent surge in terms of worth in comparison with the last year’s same period, he stated.
