Iran wants to strengthen bilateral ties with Indonesia


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Tehran and Jakarta's solid relations in numerous spheres can lead to the growth of constructive cooperation between the two countries at the regional and international levels.

On Wednesday, President Raisi met with Indonesia's Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Muhammad Syarifuddin, in Tehran.

President Raisi described Iran-Indonesia relations as friendly and progressive, noting that the Islamic Republic of Iran is serious about developing relations with Indonesia in all areas, and that the current level of relations between the two countries is not proportional to their respective capacities.

He emphasized that Tehran and Jakarta's solid relations in numerous spheres can lead to the establishment of constructive collaboration between the two nations at the regional and international levels.

Referring to Indonesia's active attitude in international organizations, President Raisi highlighted one of the areas of cooperation between Iran and Indonesia as the strengthening of cooperation between the two states in international institutions and forums.

Syarifuddin, for his part, praised bilateral relations as amicable, cordial, and constructive.
