SRINAGAR- J&K Sports Council's 'My Youth My Pride' sports program was in full swing on Saturday with the final match of the cricket tournament played at the picturesque Jablipora Sports Field in South Kashmir. In the final knockout clash, Anantnag Royals locked horns with Anantnag Spartans.

Anantnag Royals won the toss and elected to bat, but the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals and folded at a meagre total of 108 runs. Adnan Tak with 38 and Shoaib with 14 runs were the main scorers for the team. Owais Hilal for Anantnag Titans was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 3 wickets while Suhaib took one wicket.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing 28th Master's Table Tennis Championship being played in Srinagar's Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Stadium hundreds of matches were played for the 4th consecutive day, on Friday. In the 75+ and 80+ category men's doubles final, Arun Singh Barhat and Mukund Dev Aggarwal of Rajasthan had to toil a little more than they would have anticipated against a determined Dr. B. Sainath Iyer and Prabhakar GY from Karnataka.

Other districts of J&K also remained abuzz with various sports activities. Cricket matches for the visually impaired were played in Jehlum Stadium Baramulla. J&K Sports Council collaborated with J&K Blind Cricket Association for the event.
