KONYA, TURKIYE, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti shooter Sara Al-Hawal won Thursday the gold medal in the Trap singles competition of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkiye.
In a statement for KUNA, Al-Hawal said that she dedicates this medal for the Kuwaiti people and the political leadership that have been supporting her athletic career.
Kuwait is participating in the games with 60 male and female athletes vying in various games including karate, swimming, judo and shooting as well as others.
The games will run until August 18 with the participation of about 6,000 athletes of more than 50 Islamic countries. (end) akw.bb
