Paper Recycling Station For Children Opens In Kidzania Doha

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by Waste Management and Recycling Department, in cooperation with KidZania Doha, participated in the launch of a paper recycling station dedicated to children at KidZania Doha.

This cooperation aims to educate children about the importance of recycling, which contributes in reducing waste in order to preserve the environment, said the Ministry in a statement. Assistant Director of Waste Management and Recycling Department at the Ministry of Municipality Hassan Nasr Al Nasr and General Manager of Qatar Entertainment Company (Tasali) Victor Jabbour signed a cooperation agreement and inaugurated the paper recycling station.

On this occasion, Al Nasr said:“We believe that our partnership with KidZania provides a unique educational platform, not only educating children about our work, but also an important opportunity to support Qatar National Vision 2030 by increasing interest in learning.” For his part, Jabbour said:“KidZania is the world's leading brand in the fields of education and entertainment, and we believe that the best way to educate children is through role-playing and playing.

Through KidZania's unique business model, it will be able to interact with children and provide them with cognitive experiences that will have positively impact on their future.”

At the station, the children will assume the role of a recycling specialist, and they will also undergo training on the recycling mechanism and how to convert waste paper into new products, which will enhance their skills by assembling their own paper bags that can be 100% recycled and reusable.

KidZania is a place where children can freely explore a 5500 square meters child-sized city, where they can become firefighters, doctors, chefs or artists, and perform real-life tasks.
