Turkey’s regular energy usage increases by 0.9pct on July 6


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday, regular energy usage in Turkey rose by 0.9 percent on Wednesday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 982,811 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS figures hourly power usage reached 46,859 megawatts per hours at 3.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption declined to the lowest point of 32,247 megawatts per hours.

On Wednesday, 973,143 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, an increase of 0.74 percent in comparison to the previous day.

Natural gas power factories comprised by 17.9 percent of the overall amount of electricity produced, whereas imported coal factories and wind farms constituted by 17.8 percent and 16.4 percent, correspondingly.

The nation's electrical exports on Wednesday were 5,759 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 15,148 megawatts per hours.
