Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and President of the Republic of Malta HE Dr. George Vella attended talks sessions in the Amri Diwan this morning.
During the session, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways of supporting and developing these relations, particularly in investment, education, culture and tourism spheres, in addition to discussing a range of regional and international issues of common interest.
The session was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Sports and Youth HE Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi and Minister of Culture HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The session was attended from the Maltese side by the Minister of Finance and Employment HE Clyde Caruana and Minister of Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation HE Dr. Clifton Grima.
On this occasion, the Amir hosted a lunch banquet in honor of the Maltese President and his accompanying delegation. The President of the Republic of Malta had earlier arrived at the Amiri Diwan, where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.
