TEDPIX drops by 6,200 at Wednesday’s closing


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, the TEDPIX, the primary index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), fell by 6,233 points as well as the index peaked at 1.533 million points at closing, as anticipated.

On Tuesday, the TSE exchanged 8.577 billion shares worth 50.555 trillion rials, or around USD174.32 million. On the other hand, the index of the first market declined by 4,306 points, whereas the index of the second market fell by 13,356 points.

TSE is one of Iran's four stock exchanges; the others being the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) as well as the Iran Fara Bourse, which is the country's over-the-counter (OTC) market (IFB).
