Bedaya successfully concludes the “On The Shelf” initiative part of the Foundation Program


(MENAFN- YahalaPR) Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development bank and Silatech, in collaboration with Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail stores in Qatar, has successfully concluded a new chapter of its Foundation Program – the “On The Shelf” initiative. The new initiative aimed to educate entrepreneurs about the requirements, obligations, and prerequisite of the retail industry.
Under the Foundation Program, startups and entrepreneurs received the needed knowledge on how to prepare their products for inclusion in retail shops and supermarkets. The 3-day initiative held at the Lulu Hypermarket Regional headquarters was attended by 32 participants.
The objective of the Foundation Program is to introduce the startups and business owners regarding correct procedures to sell their products in the various Lulu Hypermarket outlets across Qatar for a period of 3 months free of charge.
This joint initiative between Bedaya Center and Lulu Hypermarket Group is the culmination of a memorandum of understanding (MoU)that was previously inked by the two organizations. The aim of the MoU is to support entrepreneurs consisting of startups and small business owners to showcase and promote their products to consumers as well as highlight the quality of products and their ability to compete in the local markets.
On this occasion, Mr. Hamad Al-Qahtani, General Manager of Bedaya Center said, “The Foundation Program is a continuation of the Center's efforts to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and to enhance the role of youth in the society. During the event, the attendees listened to a detailed explanation about industrial preparations and standards to be familiarized in order to display and promote their products in the best possible ways at all Lulu stores. We always seek to enrich and enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs in order to evolve their potentials, improve their presence, put them on the right path to take their first steps in the world of success and to help them achieve their desired goals.”
