Khrisat Addresses 75Th World Health Assembly In Geneva

Amman, May 27 (Petra)-- Secretary General of the Health Ministry for Administrative and Technical Affairs Ilham Khreisat addressed, in Geneva, the 75th World Health Assembly on non-communicable diseases on behalf of the member states of the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
Khrisat, on the sidelines of the assembly meetings, met with Director of World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Mental Health and Substance Use Devora Kestel, noting that Jordan is the only country in the region that has participated in the initiative of the WHO Director-General for Mental Health.
She also met with Director of the Health Workforce Department at the WHO Jim Campbell, where she reviewed the ministry's strategy for human resources and its plan for training and the most prominent challenges facing the implementation of the strategy.
