Russian energy earnings estimate to record new peak

(MENAFN) Russia could gain a record of USD100 billion from gas trades to European nations this year because of the sharp increase in energy costs, French newspaper Les Echos mentioned in a report this week, quoting Citibank experts.

In line with the paper, the estimated profit from gas sales are going to be almost double as much as 2021.

The study does not take into account earnings from the sale of other Russian supplies, such as oil, coal, in addition to other minerals.

Les Echos mentions in a report that, regardless of restrictions and cautions of a sweeping block on Russian energy, the 27 EU nations endure to send nearly USD200 million a day to Gazprom.
