BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5. The value of lending
allocated by Kazakhstan's second-tier banks amounted to 19.2
trillion tenge ($42.7 billion) as of the end of March 2022, which
is 0.6 percent more than in February 2022 and 30 percent more than
during the same month last year, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan's
National Bank.
The value of lending to legal persons decreased by 0.2 percent
amounting to 8.05 trillion tenge ($17.9 billion), whereas lending
value to physical persons was 11.1 trillion tenge ($24.8 billion)
which is 1.2 percent more than in February 2022.
According to the bank, the value of tenge-denominated loan value
increased by 1.7 percent and amounted to 17.3 trillion tenge ($38.5
billion), whereas the value of foreign currency-denominated loans
decreased by 8 percent to 1.8 trillion tenge ($4.1 billion).
The value of long-term loans amounted to 15.9 trillion tenge in
Marcj 2022 ($35.4 billion) which is 0.2 percent more than in
February 2022, whereas the value of short-term loans increased by
2.8 percent to 3.2 trillion tenge ($7.2 billion).
Lending to ventures of small entrepreneurship amounted to 4.5
trillion tenge in March 2022 ($10.07 billion), which is 16.4
percent more than in March 2021 and is 56.3 percent of the total
value of corporate loans allocated as of March 2022.
The weighted average remuneration rate on tenge denominated
loans to non-bank legal entities was 14.5 percent March 2022
compared to 11.5 percent in March 2021, whereas to physical
entities it was 18 percent compared to 17 percent in March
2021.
