Qatar - PM hands over certificates to 4th batch of Police College graduates

Doha: Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College H E sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani attended yesterday the ceremony of handing over certificates of the fourth batch of the Police College candidates at the Police Training Institute. 

The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior handed over certificates to 91 graduates, including students from the sisterly State of Palestine. 

He also honoured the family of the late candidate Arar Ali Hamad Al Shahwani by granting him an honorary bachelor's degree. 

The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officers and directors of departments at the Ministry of Interior, members of the Supreme Council of the Police College, faculty members, and parents of graduates. 

In a press statement, on the sidelines of the ceremony, Adviser to the Minister of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College H E Major Gen Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal thanked the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College for honouring the certificate ceremony and sponsoring the Police College programs.

The upcoming graduation ceremony will be supervised by H H the Amir. Through this ceremony, we are trying to highlight the capabilities that the graduate students and their colleagues have gained from the rest of the batches over the past years, he said. 

Prime Minister and Minister of Interior honoured the family of the late candidate Arar Ali Hamad Al Shahwani by granting him an honorary bachelor's degree, and Major Gen Al Mal offered condolences to the late student's family. 

The Director General of the Police College, Brigadier Gen Abdul Rahman Majid Al Sulaiti said that the College works with diligence and interest to continuously improve the academic and training path, in line with the requirements of education and training. 

In its endeavour to improve its educational system, the college adopted distance education more broadly in the curricula and educational lectures, since the beginning of the outbreak, using the latest technologies, in line with its future vision. 

In its training aspect, the college added three specialised military courses in addition to the well-known traditional military training, namely parachute jumping, diving, and thunderbolt to provide its candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills that will enable them to perform the tasks assigned to them in the future with efficiency and effectiveness, he added.

The Director General of the College congratulated the graduates and their families for their success and thanked all members of the college for their fruitful cooperation and sincere efforts in advancing the work of the college. 

He stressed that the college also derives its determination from the support of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College.

In the graduates speech, officer candidate Ali Jaber Al Mansoori expressed his and his colleagues happiness at these moments in which they crown their march at the Police College, and reap the fruits of their effort and perseverance that lasted four years. Concluding his speech, officer candidate, Ali Jaber Al Mansoori, thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, the Police College, the officers, the faculty members, the trainers, and all its affiliates who did not spare them their experience and knowledge and for the good efforts they have made throughout their college experience.

At the end of the ceremony, former Director General of the Police College Brigadier Gen. Mohamed Abdullah Al Muhanna Al Marri was honoured for his distinguished role and efforts in the college during his assumption of responsibility in the previous years.
