Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is gearing up to host the King of the Court finals, to be held from January 5-8 at Aspire Zone.
As many as 20 men's international teams besides 15 international teams from the women's category will be seen in action during the event.
Hosts Qatar will be represented by two teams.
The King of the Court finals tournament in Doha, will be the first event to be held in the Middle East.
Mohamed Mubarak al-Kuwari, Chairman of the organising committee of the championship, Chief Marketing Officer at Aspire Zone Foundation, said:“It's an honour for Aspire Zone Foundation to host the finals of the King of the Court championship, which will be the first in the Middle East in Aspire Zone. We are happy about Qatar's participation among the elite international teams participating in the championship.”
“We thank the Volleyball Federation for co-operation and continued support, as well the official sponsors, Attraction for Events, Vodafone Qatar and Qatar Airways,” he added.
The four-day event is expected to attract more than 10,000 spectators in Aspire park during the tournament.
