Turkish Economic confidence index registers drop during November


(MENAFN) On Monday, Turkey’s statistical authority stated that the country economic confidence index during November, dropped by 2 percent month-on-month.

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), it registered a drop for the second consecutive month, the major reading fell under the threshold level to 99.3 during the mentioned month.

A value more than 100 marks an optimistic view point for the overall economic state, whereas a value under 100 indicates a pessimistic outlook. This drop in the index was pushed by weaker customer and services confidences.

The sub-index for customer confidence fell by 7.3 percent on a monthly basis to reach 71.1 in November, whereas services confidence index dropped by 0.7 percent to 119.4. moreover, construction confidence index hit 93.6 during that month, jumping by 1.0 percent in comparison to last month.
