Ukraine, EU ink open-skies treaty


(MENAFN) The Ukrainian presidential press service announced that on Tuesday, Oct. 12 Ukraine and the European Union inked an open-skies treaty that will create a joint aviation space.

The presidential press service stated in a report that the deal, signed at the 23rd Ukraine-EU Summit in Kiev, will open the air markets of Ukraine and the EU and enhance air security, air traffic, and environmental protection.

The open-skies deal must be approved by Ukraine and every EU member state to come into force.
