(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Sep. 21 India’s federal health ministry officials stated that the country will continue to export coronavirus vaccines as of October.
The export of vaccines from India was suspended in April 2021 because of a sudden increase in coronavirus infections and a rising local demand for the vaccines in India.
The declaration to continue exporting coronavirus was made by federal Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday while speaking to reporters.
Mandaviya noted the country’s vaccine producers "are expected to produce more than 300 million doses" in October for India’s own immunization campaign and that any surplus supplies would be delivered to other nations in the global combat against coronavirus.
