China: Coal production continues to expand during August


(MENAFN) Official figures demonstrated that the Chinese raw coal production surged 0.8 percent year over year hitting 340 million tonnes in August.

The National Bureau of Statistics said that the expansion rate went back to the positive territory, after a 3.3 percent year-over-year decrease recorded during July.

According to the NBS, last month’s production marked a 0.7 percent rise against the corresponding period in 2019.

During the January-August period, the country produced 2.6 billion tonnes of raw coal, a rise by 4.4 percent year over year.
