(MENAFN) Sudanese Police's Press Office stated in a report that on Sunday, Sep. 12 eight persons lost their lives and another 13 were wounded in a traffic accident in Gezira State in central Sudan.
The report noted that the mishap occurred between a goods transport vehicle and a mini-passenger bus on Khartoum-Medani highway close to Al-Kamlin locality, ascribing the mishap to the high speed and incorrect crossing.
Sudan is amongst the nations with the highest death numbers in road accidents, mostly because of imprudent driving, bad road conditions and malfunctioning vehicle scrapping system.
