(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Makkah, July 21, 2021, SPA -- The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque announced the completion of the plan to group pilgrims to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah, in a spiritual atmosphere full of security and faith, amid an integrated system of services being provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The official spokesperson for the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Hani bin Hosni Haider, explained that the pilgrims arrived on Tuesday morning to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah in the Grand Mosque, amid an integrated organization with health precautionary measures, as the Grand Mosque, the courtyard, the corridors and squares were sterilized and disinfected before the pilgrims came and after their departure.
Haider said that the Presidency, in coordination with the relevant government agencies, worked on organized grouping schedules to receive the pilgrims in the Grand Mosque to perform Tawaf al-Ifadah and the Eid al-Adha prayer, with the application of physical distancing measures and hanging indicative posters throughout the squares of the Grand Mosque and the courtyard that determine the safe and healthy movement paths.
He also indicated that the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs had earlier hanged posters and prepared paths dedicated to the courtyard for each group of pilgrims so as to ensure the physical distancing from one another through floor posters, in addition to allocating specific doors for entry and other doors for exit to ensure the prevention of any crowding or overcrowding for a smooth movement of crowds.
