Turkey: New firm inauguration increases last year


(MENAFN)The country’s top trade body stated on Friday, July 16, that a total of 9,560 new firms were established in Turkey in June, increasing 113.4 percent on a monthly basis.

According to data issued by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), some 1,226 firms went out of business in June, increasing 120 percent from the past month.

It added that 85.8 percent of the new companies were limited firms and 12.9 percent were joint-stock firms.

The top three fields of operation among new firms were wholesale and retail trade, building and manufacturing.

In June, 1,293 firms with foreign associates were founded.
