U.S. crude oil output rises in past week

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Jun. 9 U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) stated that U.S. crude oil output soared in the week concluding June 4.

U.S. crude oil output hovered around 11 million barrels a day (b/d) in the past week, 200,000 barrels over the prior week and a decrease by 100,000 b/d this time in 2020, said the EIA.

Thanks to its shale oil output expansion, the United States has been a key oil producer in the past years. In the meantime, China keeps being one of the largest oil consumers in the globe.

Chinese crude oil production increased 3.4 percent annually to 16.41 million tonnes during April, showed the most recent release from the Chinese National Bureau of Statistics.
