Doha: Discover Qatar (DQ) announced on Wednesday the launch of an Arabic website for bookings of Welcome Home and Mekaines quarantine packages. The initiative comes in response to customer feedback and reflects the boundless commitment of the destination management company to offer its customers convenience and a seamless experience at every stage of their journey.
Visitors can book in the Arabic language both Welcome Home and Mekaines quarantine packages. Discover Qatar has also increased the number of dedicated Arabic speakers at its call center, which operates 24/7.
Additionally, it has introduced the 'Welcome Home' reservation counter at Hamad International Airport (HIA), where an expert team is ready to help travelers departing from the country secure a quarantine booking for their return to Qatar.
Discover Qatar continues to add new properties to the quarantine facilities list to ensure room availability and meet the increasing demand. Five more hotels joined the program adding a further 483 rooms and raising the existing total capacity to 9,890 and the number of participating hotels to 65.
In March, almost 90,000 guests were accommodated in designated quarantine facilities, more than double the number in previous months. Despite the growing capacity, travelers are recommended to book early to secure the property and budget of their choice.
Welcome Home and Mekaines refunds continue to be handled swiftly. To date, Discover Qatar have processed 88,000 refunds with a value of $27m. Only a few outstanding refunds are pending, and they are being processed as the hotels confirm eligibility.
