3 Militant Associates Of Hizb Arrested In South Kashmir's Tral: Police

Srinagar- Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Hizb
Mujahideen outfit in Tral area of South Kashmir's Awantipora.
In a statement, the spokesperson said that acting on specific information of militant movement, Awantipora Police along with 42 RR and 180 BN CRPF launched search operation in village Batagund and Dadsara Tral. During search operation one militant module of three associates of outfit Hizb-ul–Mujahideen was arrested.
The arrested militant associates are involved in providing shelter, logistics and transportation of arms/ ammunition to the HM militant in Tral and Awantipora area.
During on spot questioning of the arrested militant associates, following IED material was recovered from the house one of the arrested militant associate at village Dadsara.
Eight Electric Detonator Anti Mechanism Switches, seven Pressure Switches/Relay, three Mechanism Switches, one Improvised Switch and one Anti Mine Wireless Antenna were recovered from their possession.
The statement further stated that the arrested militant associates have been identified as Shafat Ahmad Sofi Son of Muzaffar Ahmad Sofi Residenf of Batagund, Majid Mohammad Bhat son of Lt. Gh. Mohammad Bhat Resident of Dadsara and Umer Rashid Wani son Ab. Rashid Wani resident of Dadsara.
Case FIR number 09/2021 stands registered against the arrested militant associates in Police Station Tral under relevant sections of law, reads the statement.
