Lebanon logs 2,139 new COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Jan 31 (KUNA) -- Lebanon recorded 2,139 new infections with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in last 24 hours swelling the caseload to 301,052 cases.
The ministry of health said in its daily briefing on Sunday that 51 patients who suffered from the infection lost their lives with the toll of the mortalities reaching 3,082.
It also reported increase of the recovery cases to 180,806.
Authorities have imposed total lockdown until February 8, amid alarming hike of the casualties due to the pandemic. (end)
