Syrian Air conducts 1st flight from Aleppo to Beirut


(MENAFN) Lebanon's MTV local TV channel announced that on Friday, Jan. 15 Syrian Air made its first flight in 10 years between the northern city of Aleppo and Lebanon's capital Beirut, continuing a round-trip way that has been halted since Syria's crisis started in 2011.

The plane that disembarked at 2 a.m. in Beirut on Friday, arriving from Aleppo International Airport, belongs to Syrian Air, stated the channel.

It further said that it is an Airbus 320, and it landed in Beirut with 26 passengers, then it flew with 43 passengers on board going to Aleppo.

The airlines was cited as stating that it will carry out weekly flights, each Friday, between Aleppo and Beirut.
