South Korea: Coronavirus infections hit 26,635


(MENAFN) South Korea registered 124 more infections of the coronavirus as of Sunday, November 1, compared to 24 hours ago, taking the total count of cases to 26,635.

The daily infections soared above 100 for the fifth successive day because of small cluster cases in Seoul and its neighboring Gyeonggi province in addition to imported infections.

Of the new infections, 45 were Seoul inhabitants and 36 were people living in Gyeonggi province.

Twenty-three were imported from abroad, taking the combined figure to 3,778. Two more fatalities were reported, leaving the fatalities at 466. The total death ratio hit 1.75 percent.
