Turkish forces neutralize 8 PKK terrorists in N. Syria


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Turkey's National Defense Ministry announced the neutralizing of as many as eight YPG/PKK terrorists in northern Syria.

The ministry affirmed on Twitter platform that commando units launched an attack against of four terrorists who opened severe fire on security forces in the area, earlier cleared by Turkey's Euphrates Shield Operation.

It also affirmed the at least four more, who were plotting to conduct terror attack, were neutralized in the area, which was of terrorism after Turkey's Operation Olive Branch, another counter-terrorism operation formerly held by the nation.

It is worth mentioning that Turkish government frequently uses the term "neutralize" in statements to indicate that the terrorists in question surrendered or were murdered or arrested.
