Libya to recieve USD6 million donation from U.S.

The U.S. embassy to Libya has announced on Saturday that Libya is going to recieve a total of USD6 million financial support from the United States to aid the country in its battle against coronavirus.

A statement by the embassy said that "The U.S. will provide 6 million dollars in addition to humanitarian assistance to Libya in response to the COVID-19 pandemic".

Adding that "The fund will help health officials to prevent the spread of the disease and respond to those in need"

The National Center for Disease Control of the government in Libya said on Saturday that two new coronavirus cases have been reported in the country.

The country has registered its first coronavirus case on Tuesday, the patient is a 73 years old man who recently came back from Saudi Arabia.
