Ukraine- Lviv declares state of emergency over coronavirus outbreak


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The state of emergency has been declared in Lviv city and region over to the coronavirus outbreak.

Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"The state of emergency has been introduced in Lviv and the region from 00.00 on March 24. The relevant decision was approved by the Regional Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations. The main question: will enterprises work tomorrow [March 24]? The answer: they will operate! Nobody has approved a decision on their closure, he wrote.

Sadovyi also added that "more details will be released later".

On March 12, Ukraine introduced quarantine for three weeks, as well a package of anti-epidemic measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

The state of emergency has already been declared in the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Ternopil and Cherkasy region
