Tunisian, French forces conduct naval drills off northern Tunisian coast


(MENAFN) On Friday, the French and Tunisian naval forces carried out a joint drill off the northern Tunisian coast, the Tunisian defense ministry affirmed in a statement.

The dual drill was conducted between the Tunisian high-sea patrol vessel Syphax 611 and the French navy's amphibious assault ship and helicopter carrier Le Dixmude L9015, the statement emphasized.

It is worth mentioning that the naval drills were conducted to enhance the operational capabilities of the both naval forces in fighting the violent acts at sea and coordination in the field of maritime control.
