(MENAFN) According to Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper, in 2019, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) issued more than 10,000 tourism licenses.
Tourism accommodation facilities, travel and tourism agencies, trip organization, tourist guidance, reservation offices and tourism accommodation marketing, all were covered by the licenses.
The penalties imposed on tourism services were 1,268 at a worth of SAR 12.67 million last year.
In 2019, the penalty decisions issued against tourism accommodation facilities were 564, with 313 penalty decisions in Riyadh, 30 in the Eastern Region and 221 in Jeddah.
