(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Another commission has been appointed to investigate the Easter Sunday attacks.
President Maithripala Sirisena appointed Appeal Court Judge Janak de Silva to head the commission.
A gazette notice appointing the five member commission was issued last night.
The Presidential commission has been appointed just weeks ahead of the Presidential election.
Following the Easter Sunday attacks the President had appointed a three-member committee to investigate the incident and the committee handed over its report to the President in June.
A Parliament Select Committee was also appointed to record statements related to the attacks and the committee will submit its report next month.
