Namibia's plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

(MENAFN) The state house said on Friday evening that, Namibia's President Hage Geingob is set to announce Namibia's five-year plan to decrease greenhouse gas productions by the year 2030.

The state house said in a press statement that, while participating in the United Nation's 2019 Climate Action Summit next week, Geingob will present the plan.

"A Race We Can Win, A Race We Must Win.", will be the topic that the meeting will run under.

Namibia is known as one of the weakest countries to the impacts of climate change with the majority of the population relying on climate-sensitive sectors such as agriculture, livestock management and fishing for survival.
