Jordan- Man fakes robbery to hide theft of his friend


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, August 25 (Petra)-The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) uncovered a man, who has made up a robbery to cover up the theft of his friend's money.
A person told police that two unknown people robbed him of JD91 thousand, given to him by his friend to be deposited at bank at the Gabawi area in the Zarqa governorate, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) media spokesperson, said in a statement on Sunday.
Through the investigation and evidence gathering, police were convinced that the person, who fabricated the robbery, stole the money, the spokesperson pointed out.
While confronting the suspect with evidence, he admitted to robbing his friend's money, which he hid in an office in Amman, the spokesperson stated.
The police retrieved the whole stolen cash.
