Amman, Aug. 23 (Petra)-- His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan, congratulating him on taking office as leader of the Sovereign Council in Sudan.
In the cable, King Abdullah stressed Jordan's keenness to bolster ties with Sudan, in line with mutual interests, noting that Jordan supports Sudan's efforts to maintain its unity, security, and stability.
His Majesty wished Gen. Burhan success, expressing wishes that the people of Sudan achieve their aspirations towards further progress and prosperity.
