Kenya forecasts 5 percent surge in tourism arrivals

(MENAFN) By the end of this year, a 5 percent boost is expected to be registered in the number of foreign tourism arrivals in Kenya.

However, various issues will prevent Kenya from recording a jump by 37 percent in its tourism sector just like it once posted last year.

Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife Najib Balala revealed the forecast during the inauguration of the partnership between Express Travel Group and Travel Leaders Group, one that was establish for the construction of Travel Leaders Kenya.

Balala stated: "we are projecting only a slight growth in the number of international arrivals by the end of 2019 fueled by intensified marketing efforts in key source markets."
