Saudi King urges urgent Arab summit in Mecca


(MENAFN) On Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency reported that Saudi King Salman has urged the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member countries and Arab League nations for an immediate summit in Mecca amid increasing tensions with Iran and geopolitical instability.

The meeting which is scheduled for May 30, will underline "the grave consequences of such attacks on the regional and international peace as well as security, in addition to the supply routes and the stability of the world oil markets."

The report added that the meeting agenda will also confer, "these aggressions and their consequences on the region".
