Kuwaiti writer says used to bullying





KUWAIT CITY, May 14: The
Kuwaiti writer Heba Meshari Hamada is happy with the success of her series
'Cairo Batch' despite the criticism from both the public and some critics,
including the claim that the work is derived from the novel 'Apartment of
Freedom' by the late writer Ghazi Algosaibi and the public who in the social
networking sites have vented their anger because of the short duration of
previous episodes, reports Al-Anba daily.





Speaking to the daily by phone to
shed light on her viewpoint with regard to the criticisms, she said she is in
Al-Razi hospital suffering from tendon cut in her hand suffered during the
course of the series, and said she is glad about the reactions of her artistic
work, which she considered one of the best works written by her until now.





Speaking of accusations, Hamada
said in her account on Instagram also that she is used to bullying, slander and
accusations hurled at her saying the work is derived from 'Apartment of
Freedom'. She claimed there is no similarity between the two acts either in
terms of dialogue, chronology or drama.





It
is worth mentioning that the series 'Cairo Batch' revolves around a group of
students in the fifties of the last century studying at the University of Cairo
and each of them have a dramatic line of his, and is the first serial in the
Gulf dealing with this period of time in Cairo which is directed by Bahraini
Ali Ali starring Bashar Al-Shatti, Fatima Al-Safi, Hamad Ashkanani, Noor
Al-Ghandour, Muhanad Al-Mohammadi, Maram, LuluwaAl-Mulla, Khaled Al-Shaer, Noor
Al-Sheikh and others.
