(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Social Development Centre (Nama) has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification. This comes as a 'culmination of the centre's efforts to provide innovative and pioneering services, Nama said in a press statement.
The accreditation has been awarded by a committee of external auditors who conducted tests and evaluated the services, procedures and processes carried out by all the departments and divisions of the centre and found them to be in conformity with international quality management standards, the statement noted
Nama's team said the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation is part of the centre's development plan that aims to provide quality services to support Qatari youth in the field of entrepreneurship and in the establishment of small and micro-enterprises, in addition to enhancing the capabilities of young people through courses and workshops of international standards in preparation for their integration in the market, and in the framework of the implementation of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work's strategic vision.
Further, the ISO certification enhances the association of Nama's plans with these standards and global controls that ensure success and the achievement of the objectives in accordance with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The team thanked all who contributed to this achievement, which 'confirms a commitment to the implementation of the highest international standards in the field of service delivery and in the standards of quality and excellence in management and work.
'There is no doubt that the ISO certification is an important achievement, especially as it comes at a time when administrative systems are developing significantly and adopting international standards, and quality is necessary for the success of the centre in achieving its goals and mission in the community, the statement added. 'It also proves that Nama follows best practices and provides the highest level of performance through a committed team that has worked diligently to obtain the certificate, which is not an easy feat as this requires several assessments to ensure the implementation of all procedures and standards.
The Nama team also reiterated that working in line with international standards (ISO) would also positively reflect on those benefiting from the centre's services and improve the quality of these services.
