Qatar, Guinea sign USD20m fund agreement


(MENAFN) Qatar is extending USD20 million of funds to Guinea in support of its development initiatives launched within rural areas.

In a statement, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) confirmed that it penned the fund deal with Guinea's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and Ministry of Energy and Hydraulics.

Under the agreement, QFFD will fund Guinea's projects that cover road infrastructure rehabilitation, bridges and reservoirs establishment, along with wells digging.

Guinea is looking through the plans to help improve rural communities through renovating roads in seventeen provinces in 866km of length.
