Turkey sees boost in consumer confidence index


(MENAFN) Turkish statistical authority TurkStat revealed on Monday the country to have registered a 6.9 percent boost in its consumer confidence index for this month.

Compared to results seen in March, the Turkish consumer confidence index jumped more than 4 points to reach 63.5 in April 2019.

Joint calculations of consumer inclinations were conducted through TurkStat and the Central Bank to work out the index value.

The index value hanged around 72.7 and 57.6 last year, with the highest value posted in July and the lowest witnessed in October.
