Dulquer, speaking to City Times on the sidelines of the press event said he hopes the new government would be 'pro-art', barring any kind of censorship. "I feel artists must be given the freedom to express themselves, irrespective of the medium (sic)."

He added, "I think that is always a sign and representative of the times (we live in). I feel like nothing should put limitations on that (arts). Whatever are the new initiatives taken by the government, I hope it is pro-arts, not irrespective of the medium."

Salmaan said that the arts should be given the freedom to be truly representative of the people as the arts do it better than any other medium. "The majority of the arts don't have an agenda," added Salmaan.
