Israeli soldiers injure 48 Palestinians protesters during clashes


(MENAFN) On Friday, as many as 48 Palestinians were injured during clashes with Israeli troops in eastern Gaza Strip, near the border with Israel, medics stated.

The Health Ministry spokesperson, Ashraf al-Qedra, emphasized inn a press statement that among the victims were five paramedics and four local photojournalists, adding that scores were treated in the field after inhaling tear gas.

The clashes on Friday were part of the weekly anti-Israel demonstrations, better known as the Great March of Return, which started at the end of March 2018.

The Highest Commission of the March of Return had earlier urged the Gaza Strip people to attend the weekly activity in support of Palestinian inmates in Israeli prisons.
