Somalia: 4 die, 5 wounded in blast


(MENAFN) A blast that shook the Somali capital of Mogadishu caused the death of four people and inflicting wounds on five others.

Police and eye witnesses reported that a car bombing erupted at Dabka junction, with the vehicle revealed to have been carrying improvised explosive device (VBIED).

VBIED exploded outside a restaurant near Wabari police station, confirmed deputy police commander Zakia Hussein.

Hussein added "an VBIED Harrier vehicle parked at Dabka Junction went off; so far we can confirm four dead and five wounded. We offer our condolences to the victims. We once again ask the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities and vehicles to police via our 991 hotline."
