(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- An Asian has been arrested in Haima for trying to smuggle heroin capsules. The arrest was made by officials of the Directorate General for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances at Al Wusta Police Command. The accused had hidden 84 heroin capsules inside his gut.
He was referred to the police hospital where an X-ray revealed 84 capsules packed with heroin, inside his gut. The accused has been referred to the Public Prosecution for investigation. ROP calls upon all citizens and residents to assist in combating the menace by reporting either on 9999 or toll free number (1444).
