(MENAFN- Kashmir Observer) SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Shailendra Kumar Friday said that contesting candidates will have to furnish details of poll related expenditures to his office and assured that adequate number of EVM's will be provided to ensure hassle free polling in all the polling stations across the state.

Talking to reporters after a meeting with the members of the Jammu Chamber of commerce and Industry on the poll related arrangements, Kumar said, 'Contesting candidates will have to furnish details of poll related expenditures to his office as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India.'

In reply to a question on the technical faults in EVM's, Kumar said, 'Proper arrangements have been made to ensure working of fresh EVM's in case of any difficulty in operating any EVM at any polling booth,' adding that, 'Mobile connectivity is very much there in 10000 out of 11000 polling stations and as such there would be no problem of connectivity in case of any difficulty in operating EVMs and making available fresh EVMs at the polling stations in the state.'
