Qatar- GCC likely to set up Gulf payments company

The Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud Al Thani (third left) posing for a group photo with his GCC counterparts and other digniteries, at the 72nd Meeting GCC Committee of Governors of Monetary Institutions and Central Banks, which was held in Muscat, yesterday. During the meeting they discussed establishing Gulf payments company, in addition to several topics related to the supervision and control of the banking system and payment systems. They also discussed the joint dialogue between monetary institutions and central banks in the GCC countries and some groups and economic blocs as well as other related topics.
