Red Hot Chili Peppers fires up Egypt

(MENAFN) Over 10,000 people rushed to enjoy the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers in Giza as they performed with the Egyptian pyramids behind stage.

"Can't stop, addicted to the shindig, Chop Top, he says I'm gonna win big," this is how the greats began the concert to take their fans breaths with a 2002 album song.

The 1983 band managed to steal all the attention with songs like Californication and Dark Necessities, making the night worthy despite beefed security.

Travco Group Vice Chairman Karim El Chiaty commented "I think there's a big fan base in Egypt and I think for what we're trying to achieve here today, which is to promote tourism in Egypt, we needed a band of that kind of scale and that influence."
